On almost every group there is a special relationship between the leader, who is usually the eldest, with the maknae. It's normal that the oldest want to protect the youngest but sometimes the roles switch, or the oldest takes advantage of the youngest.
Here are couple of the cutest Leader-Maknae relationships!
Beast's Doojoon and Dongwoon

Doojoon the King of dorky leaders seems to identified with the mental age of Dongwoon. Always joking and playing around but that doesn't quit the fact that Doojoon always want to protect Dongwoon with everything he has. His leadership makes the maknae and the other members proud of Doojoon

Onew who doesn't seem to have a good leader vibe, is always worried about Taemin because he entered at a Young age to this indutry. But don't get carried away, Onew is a dorky leader that sometimes makes the maknae looks as a grown-up man. Taemin always sticks to his hyung and it seems that his appreciation for him would never go away.

Victoria who is 7 years older than Krystal, always take care of her, trying to make her feel comfortable in any situation because of Krystal's shyness. But Krystal has the urge to protect her leader too knowing the hard things that she have to deal with because of her position in the group.

The difference between the two maknaes is that for me, Sulli is more realiable thanks to the fact that they're roomates. They share their problems and have the same kind of dorky personalities when they are together.
INFINITE's Sunggyu and Sungjong
“Because hyung is too awesome, so I have a lot of interest in him.” — Sungjong to Sunggyu
This time I think the roles are a little different, Sunggyu is a very good and strict leader, but he can be too silly sometimes, Sungjong always tries to cheer him up and takes care of his hyung.
EXO's Suho and Sehun
Suho who is known for being a very loyal person, is considered the Guardian of EXO by his members. He always expresses his desire of watch Sehun growing up as a good man and always admires his looks and hard work. Sehun who loves his hyung in a weird way, likes to tease him a lot but at the same time he respects him.
SNSD's Taeyeon and Seohyun
The Kid leader Taeyeon and the Lady-like Maknae make a uncommon combination that Works. Seohyun who always is besides her unnie, taking care of her as if she was older than her. The leader who always plays around give an innocent vibe that the maknae always wants to protect making a Sweet pairing.

Hyuk : To me, N hyung is like an annoying girlfriend.
Between N and Hyuk there is a kind of "Tom & Jerry" relationship. Hyuk respects his hyung in a very sarcastic way, while N likes to bully his dongsaeng sometimes. They seem to always be playing around and obviously N's cheerful and childish personality helped them to get close.
KARA's Gyuri and Former member and maknae Jiyoung
As everyone knows, Jiyoung and Nicole left the group when their contract expired, Making a lot of fans sad. Gyuri who has the fame of being a good leader, always treats Jiyoung as she calls her: her baby. This relationship can be described as one with full of trust, affection and playfulness. Even when Jiyoung is not part of the group anymore, I think that their friendship will last forever.
Super Junior's Leeteuk and Kyuhyun

Leeteuk has gain a paternal role on every single member of his group, showing always how humble and professional he is. Kyuhyun and Leeteuk share a special bond where they can be playful, honest and caring to each other and remember that Kyuhyun is not an angel though... but Leeteuk gained his confidence and his respect.
