TOP 10 SONGS: April/May Edition

10. 2NE1 - Gotta Be You

The song is about falling in love and stand in the realtionship no matter what, even if it's destroying you (concept that I don't support)
The song as a YG production focus on the fast lines and rap from CL, have a unique yet good rythm, but in my opinion too much screen time and lines for CL. I like Miny the best on this song. 2NE1 is know for have equal lines for all the member so I'm a little disappointed, but the song is good.

9. INFINITE - Last Romeo

As the title says, the song is about these seven handsome men saying that they'll only look at you, they'll protect you no matter what hardships comes and put everything is risk for you (I know that this song is dedicated to me LOL.)
To be honest I expected more from them, the song is good but it doesn't get in your mind as other hits like "The Chaser" and "Be Mine. This is like the matured version of Man in Love and I wasn't a big fan of that song either. Despiting all said the lyrics and the video are awesome.

8. Jung Joon Young & Younha - Just The Way You Are

A description of how perfect is everything when they are together. The powerful voices complement each other and the melody have the good combination of the guitar and piano. The video shows the children having their first love and dealing with situations like  "girls shouldn't be playing with that kind of things", "I dont want you to play with that kid" and also facing the decision of moving out and leaving behind that memories with your loved one.

7. Fly To The Sky - You You You

I'll start with the dramatic mv...  they haven't met each other 5 years because Brian was in coma Hwanhee is the one who hit them because Hwanhee want take the woman away. He took the chance to build a relationship with the girl because she had amnesia and everything was rainbows and butterflies until Brian woke up. He goes to meet Hwanhee and tells him that everything will be going back to it's place. The girl start to remember and go back to Brian but his kidney is damaged and at the end of the mv Hwanhee gave him his kidney out of guilt.

Now the lyrics have a lot to do with the crazy mv, it says that he wants to hold onto her no matter what, because he's madly in love with her, in this case Hwanhee character.

I need to say that their voices are on another level? I think everyone knows... It's a beautiful and tragic song... The Oppas are back!

6.  IU - My Old Story

First of all, this song is a remake '80s hit by veteran singer Cho Deok Bae, the song keeps the same intact message and nostalgic sound. The lyrics and the video are on the same page, Is about she singing (with her beautiful voice) that she's waiting for her lover despite his past mistakes and on the other side, he's listening her on the radio heartbroken. A lovely song that IU is showing to a new generation and who could be better than her?

5. Akdong Musician - Melted

The song express the coldness that is around the world, a pretty slow ballad that don't make you fall asleep thanks to the harmonized voices. The chorus was really catchy and the high peak on it sounded beautiful and clean. The phrase "Why are they so cold?" sounds so sad. The video was representing the song perfectly showing a quite succesful man remembering his past on his teenage years and being rejected by a lot of people on many ways.
A touching song with the heaven like voices: Akdong Musician!

4. 15& - Can't Hide It

What can I say about these song?! A sing it every day!  The song describe of how in love they are, they show it on every single gesture and action they make. Is fresh, lovely and catchy melody even when t's a ballad. The song shows that the concept for 15& matured.
JYP nailed it on this one!

3. EXO-K - Overdose

This was definitely a Ballad month, but EXO gave us a R&B feel with the production from S.M song-writer Kenzie and "The Underdogs" a R&B/Pop production duo composed by Harvey Mason Jr. and Damon Thomas, they were in charge of the lyrics together. The meoldy was also by "The Underdogs".
The video starts when every member doesn't know how to get out from the labyrinth making them frustrared, this the only meaningful part of the mv because as SM video they just dance in a box, the dance movements were pretty epic though (the rhombus, and when they drum on each fellow member's head) all thanks to Tony Testa which is one of the most respected choreographer in the industry (Micahel Jackson, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, work with SHINee since Sherlock era, TVXQ: Something and EXO's Wolf)
The song is quite dark, They fall in love with this girl and they just can't get enough of her.Their vocals are strong, and they go up and down the scale in a rhythmic way.

2. G.O.D. - The Lone Duckling

The song have such a nostalgic wave, your heart aches when you listen it and even more when you read the lyrics , composed for Duble Sidekick. A person comparing himselt to an ugly duckling that is left behind by the person he loves.
A ballad that have the perfect constrast between the amazing vocal skills and rap lines expressing  the feeling of sadness. A song that makes you want to hear it again and again.
All proceeds of this production will be donated to the victims and families of the Sewol Ferry tragedy.

1. Gary & Jung In - Your Scent

A fresh song! That's what you get when Jung In and hit-making producer Duble Sidekick composed the song, and Gary wrote the lyrics. With the talents of these three combined, it’s no surprise that this single is still number one on the charts after 6 days of it's release.
The song talks about falling in love with the simple yet beautiful person inside and out and the feeling of being afraid about losing that person.
Gary is a good rapper and with the incredible and powerful voice of Jung In is impossible for you to not like this song.

So what song is your favorite?
