A ship named Sewol sank near Jindu island, in the southern coast of South Korea. The entire country is paralized and expectant of news, even the entertainment industry canceled everything for two days in a row (dramas, variety shows, music programs...) to run news specials about the tragedy.
There were 471 passengers, and most of them were high school students on a school trip to Jeju Island. 9 deaths are confirmed and there are still 287 missing.
The search rescue has been paused due to worsening weather conditions.
The captain is alive and says he's too embarrased and sorry.
